This Privacy Policy explains how Togru ("the App") handles user information, in compliance with Apple's privacy requirements, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable privacy regulations.
Togru is a task management application designed to help users organize tasks through visual dependency graphs, with a core commitment to user privacy and data ownership. This Policy applies to all users of the App on Apple iOS/iPadOS devices and clarifies our practices regarding data collection, storage, use, and sharing—including our commitment to zero non-essential data collection.
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.
Consistent with Apple's privacy best practices, Togru requires no account registration, login credentials, or personal information to access full functionality.
Unlike many mobile applications, Togru does not request or collect any personal identification information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, Apple ID, or payment information. There is no account creation process, and the App does not generate unique user identifiers for tracking purposes.
This "account-free" design ensures that: (1) you can use all App features without sharing personal data; (2) the Developer cannot identify individual users; and (3) there is no central database of user information to compromise. All App functionality—including task creation, dependency mapping, and data export/import—is fully accessible without providing any personal information.
Togru follows a "zero-collection" policy for user data, collecting only the minimal technical data necessary for the App to function on your device (and never transmitting it to external servers).
Data We Do NOT Collect:
Data That Remains On Your Device Only:
The only data associated with the App is user-generated content (task data, graphs, settings) and minimal technical data required for local functionality. This data is stored exclusively on your device and is never accessed, collected, or transmitted by the Developer or third parties, except when explicitly initiated by you (e.g., manual export of backup files).
In compliance with Apple's data storage guidelines, all user data is stored locally on your device with no automatic cloud synchronization.
All content you create in Togru—including task details, dependency relationships, graph layouts, visual customizations, and App settings—is stored exclusively in the App's sandboxed storage on your iOS/iPadOS device. This data is encrypted by Apple's operating system (per your device settings) and is not accessible to the Developer, Apple, or third parties without your explicit action.
Key principles of our local storage policy:
Togru provides user-controlled data export/import functionality to enable data portability, in compliance with Apple's requirements for data access and portability.
You may export your entire task database as a backup file at any time. Exported files are saved to your device's local storage (e.g., Files app) or your chosen cloud storage provider (e.g., iCloud Drive) at your discretion. The export process is initiated and controlled entirely by you, and the Developer does not receive, store, or process exported files.
Import functionality allows you to restore data from previously exported backup files. This process also occurs entirely on your device, with no data transmission to external servers. You may delete exported backup files at any time, and the App does not retain copies of imported files beyond what is stored locally on your device.
You are solely responsible for: (1) ensuring regular backups of your data; (2) securing exported backup files; (3) verifying the integrity of imported data; and (4) complying with applicable laws when exporting/importing data.
Togru does not integrate with third-party services that collect user data, and we never share user data with third parties.
No Third-Party Integrations: The App does not include SDKs (Software Development Kits) from third-party providers (e.g., advertising networks, analytics providers, social media platforms) that collect user data. This eliminates the risk of unintended data sharing with third parties.
No Data Sharing/Selling: The Developer does not share, sell, rent, lease, or otherwise disclose any user data (including anonymous or aggregated data) to third parties for any purpose, including marketing, analytics, or commercial gain. Since we collect no user data, there is no data to share or sell.
Apple's Built-In Services: If you choose to export backup files to iCloud Drive, Apple's privacy policies apply to data stored in iCloud. The Developer has no access to data stored in your iCloud account and is not responsible for Apple's data handling practices.
Togru leverages Apple's built-in security features to protect local data, with additional safeguards aligned with Apple's security guidelines.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, security depends primarily on your device's security settings (e.g., passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, encryption). The App adheres to Apple's security best practices, including:
While the Developer takes reasonable measures to ensure the App's security, you are responsible for securing your device and backup files. The Developer disclaims liability for data loss or unauthorized access resulting from: (1) device theft or loss; (2) weak device security settings; (3) unauthorized access to your exported backup files; or (4) jailbreaking/rooting your device (which violates Apple's terms and compromises security).
Togru is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's guidelines for apps targeting children.
The App is not specifically targeted at children under 13, but our zero-data-collection policy ensures compliance with COPPA and Apple's requirements for children's apps. We do not collect any personal information from users of any age, including children, and the App does not contain features that could facilitate the collection of children's data.
Parents or guardians may use the App to manage family tasks, with the assurance that no personal data of children (or any users) is collected or shared.
Consistent with Apple's privacy guidelines and applicable regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR), you have full control over your data with Togru.
Your privacy rights include:
Since we collect no user data, there are no data subject access requests (DSARs) to submit to the Developer—you have immediate, direct control over all your data.
The Developer may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, Apple's guidelines, or applicable laws.
Material changes to this Policy will be communicated via a prominent in-app notice, with the updated Policy available within the App and on our designated website (if applicable). The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document will be revised to reflect the change date.
Modified terms will take effect 30 days after notification, unless required by law to take effect sooner. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of modified terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree to modified terms, you must cease using the App and delete it from your device.
